DC6 - Automated Mission Assessment for Underwater Robots with Semantic Digital Twins

Objectives

  1. To develop a framework and tool to create analyzable underwater robotics missions and to evaluate different quality measures such as safety and reliability for the described missions in simulation, and to apply the framework for case of a vision-controlled robot.
  2. To develop a specification language for describing underwater mission elements and their composition in which mission descriptions include an imperative process flow and declarative mission constraints.

Expected Results

  1. A specification language for describing underwater mission elements and their composition in which mission descriptions include an imperative process flow and declarative mission constraints.
  2. A digital twin providing a high-fidelity representation of operational environment.
  3. A tool to compose mission meta-descriptions, with environmental semantic digital twin for automated evaluation of maritime robot missions.
